Production and Development Facilities

Working from a dedicated facility at the Future Technology Centre in Sunderland we have a 700sq metre site that includes a 350sq metre highly secure prototype assembly and engineering development workshop equipped with vehicle development bays, battery testing capabilities, machining and fabrication area and engine test rig.

Our volume manufacturing operation for Li-ion energy storage systems opened in 2014 and has a current capacity for the production of up to 20,000 system per annum. Committed investment in the facility and the pursuit of automotive industry standards continues to improve production output and cost competitiveness.

Also located in the Centre are our specialist design and systems integration specialists who link seamlessly with colleagues in production. This ensures that designs are proven in each application before taken through into volume manufacture. Nissan’s Performance Test Track is located next door and we utilise this first class facility on a regular basis.
