The UK's largest intralogistics event
As the UK’s largest intralogistics event, IMHX 2019 is the place to be for the material handling industry. Taking place at the NEC in Birmingham on 24th – 27th September, and with over 16,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors, there’s certainly a lot to see.
Featuring a full conference programme with inspiring industry leaders, live demonstrations and a solutions forum, IMHX is set to be bigger and better than ever. But what will make 2019 stand out even more?
And that’s electrification. With European Union (EU) Stage 5 regulations now in force, all new Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) for material handling equipment and non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) with a power range up to 560 kWh have to comply with new emission standards.
This coupled with public demand for cleaner and better technology, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are futureproofing their businesses and looking to zero-emission alternatives. Battery powered material handling equipment such as scissor lifts, cherry pickers, forklift trucks, sigma lifts and work aerial platforms are growing in popularity due to the multiple benefits they provide to the end user. With a reduction in the consumption of fuel, huge cost savings can be made as well as being quieter, requiring less maintenance and having better operator comfort.
And it’s at IMHX 2019 where the latest innovations in electric material handling machinery and equipment will be on show. We’ll also be there, with Stephen, Steve, Tom and Rachel on hand to answer your questions on the electrification process and why lithium-ion battery technology is leading the way.
