The Awards aim to celebrate some of the brightest talent and outstanding achievements of companies shaping the north east automotive industry.
Hyperdrive has won SME Company of the Year at the North East Automotive Alliance Awards 2020.
Recognised as a company who has demonstrated all-round achievement in the last 24 months, Hyperdrive has successfully overcome challenges to exceed their business objectives with future growth ambition.
Stephen Irish, Commercial Director at Hyperdrive commented, “2019 has been a monumental year for Hyperdrive, so to win this award is just fantastic. Last year we launched HYVE, the UK’s largest independent battery pack manufacturing facility, to cater to the growing demand for clean energy on a global scale. The NEAA awards are a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the north east automotive community and showcase the best our region has to offer.”
The awards ceremony took place on Friday 21st February at the Roker Hotel in Sunderland where guests listened to Mike Hawes, Chief Executive at The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) who delivered the keynote address. SMMT is the trade association for UK motor industry and represents 800 automotive companies.
